Terms and Conditions – Maison 1934
By adhering to these conditions, you contribute to a harmonious and respectful experience for yourself, the Maison 1934 team, and other guests. We are available for any questions or specific requests to make your stay unforgettable.
1. Maison 1934 – What You Need to Know
Maison 1934 is our family home, not an international hotel chain.
There is no 24/7 reception, but everything is designed for you to enjoy your stay independently, with the comfort and support you need.
We are committed to providing a seamless and pleasant experience for each of our guests, respecting the space and fellow visitors.
2. Booking and Payment
- Your booking is only confirmed after full payment of your stay.
- A confirmation email will be sent after payment (please check your spam folder).
- A security deposit of €300 is required upon arrival and will be refunded after a satisfactory departure inspection.
- All additional services (breakfast, extra bed, massages, etc.) and the tourist tax must be paid in cash on-site.
3. Understanding Our Services
We offer various additional services to enhance your stay.
These services require prior organization and generate extra costs.
We appreciate your understanding and kindly ask you to notify us in advance so we can prepare them in the best possible way.
4. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation more than 21 days before arrival: refund of the stay minus an administrative fee (3% of the total booking amount).
- Cancellation less than 21 days before arrival: no refund, the full amount of the stay remains due.
- Early departure: no refund.
- In case of government restrictions preventing the stay (e.g., lockdown, travel bans), a stay postponement will be offered at no extra cost.
5. Check-in and Check-out
A smooth and well-organized stay.
- Check-in: from 5:00 PM.
- Check-out: before 10:00 AM.
- Early check-in and late check-out: available upon request, subject to availability, with a €30 fee. Please request in advance.
Key Return
- Do you already know what time you plan to leave? Let us know if we can come to say goodbye.
- Otherwise, you can simply leave the key in the exterior lock of the door.
If no objections are raised within 12 hours of arrival, the initial inspection is considered accepted without reservation.
6. Accommodation Capacity & Adults-Only Policy
Adults Only
- Maison 1934 is exclusively for adults to ensure a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.
- The booking is made for a specific number of guests.
- Any undeclared additional guests may be refused without modification or refund.
- The apartment is strictly reserved for tenants. Any external visitors must be approved in advance.
7. Parking
Easy and Free Parking
- Large free parking area in front of the house.
- Blue zone parking (3 hours free with a disc, available upon request) nearby.
8. Additional Services
Breakfast – By Reservation Only
- Served in your apartment between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
- Must be booked at the time of reservation or at least 48 hours before arrival.
- Last-minute requests cannot be guaranteed.
Luggage Storage
- Available between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- €5 per bag, payable on-site.
9. House Rules & Courtesy Guidelines
A serene and friendly atmosphere for all.
- Respect for quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
- Parties and events are not allowed.
- Maison 1934 is a non-smoking property: smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartments.
- Dedicated outdoor smoking areas are available.
- Respect for wooden floors & hygiene: our original wooden floors have been renovated, so we kindly ask you to remove your shoes inside.
- Cozy slippers are available for your comfort.
10. Cleanliness & Check-Out Guidelines
Before your departure, please ensure:
- The apartment is tidy, and all clean dishes are put away.
- No dishes are left in the sink or dishwasher.
- All lights are turned off, and radiators are lowered.
- All windows are closed.
- You have not left any personal belongings behind.
- Recyclable waste is deposited at the collection point near the train station.
- Non-recyclable waste is disposed of in the apartment's designated bins.
11. Environmental Commitment

Maison 1934 is actively committed to sustainable tourism and invites guests to be part of this collective effort.
Waste Sorting
- Recycling bags and sorting guidelines are available in your apartment.
- We rely on your participation in sorting and depositing recyclables at the nearby collection point.
We believe in sustainable tourism that allows everyone to enjoy Alsace while respecting its environment and local communities.
12. Liability & Insurance
For a Worry-Free Stay
- Children are not permitted at Maison 1934, as the establishment is adults-only.
- Guests are expected to respect the property and use it appropriately.
- A travel insurance policy is recommended. Please check with your insurer if your home insurance covers vacation rentals.
13. Pets
Our Furry Friends Are Not Allowed
- To ensure the comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted at Maison 1934.
- A pet boarding service is available nearby. Feel free to ask us for recommendations.
14. Exceptions & Unforeseen Circumstances
In case of exceptional circumstances, some services may be temporarily unavailable.
We will do our best to minimize any inconvenience and keep you informed.
15. Respect & Consideration
This house is yours during your stay. Please treat it with care and respect the housekeeping staff, who work diligently to keep the premises welcoming and spotless.
